Ballantyne Massage Therapy takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example: appointments, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers/file cabinets in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

The business computer is never used outside the business.  The office where this computer is located is always locked when not in use.  The business computer is also password protected and is only used by one person.  Should the office computer be stolen, a call would immediately be placed to the police and patients would be notified that their health data and contact information might be on this computer.  They would also be told that the data on the computer was password protected.    After these steps were taken, I would notify BMT that the computer had been stolen and that the data was password protected.

Ballantyne Massage Therapy’s Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
